On the afternoon of November 14, Geoff Foy, Vice-President of Pacific Lutheran University,Hiro Kuroiwa-Lewis,Director of International Cooperation Center,and other five people came to our shool for cooperation and discussion. The two sides held a discussion in the conference room 408 ,Yingcai Campus of our school. President Lu Kui attended the metting. Also participated in the discussion were leaders of the Academic Affairs Office, the International Exchange Office, the School of International Education, the School of Civil Engineering, the School of Mechatronics and Vehicle Engineering, the School of Management, the School of Economics and Trade.
In his welcoming speech, the President Lu Kui pointed out that our school and Pacific Lutheran university have maintained a good state of communication and cooperation since the establishment of the cooperative relationship.The two sides have conducted many in-depth discussions on the cooperation plan.Our school is a new and dynamic application-oriented undergraduate college with 25 undergraduate majors. Both sides can actively expand new cooperation areas and enrich cooperation modes in undergraduate majors.In view of the existing junior college, we can explore new ways of cooperation, improve the level of specialty, and expand a new path for the college students to continue their further study.
Geoff Foy, Vice-President of Pacific Lutheran University,introduced the MBA program and credit recognition program of Pacific Lutheran University in detail and the MBA program of our school is one of the few AACSB certified majors with high academic and practical level.Pacific Lutheran University is famous for its international background training concept and elite training mode. It pays attention to the combination of production and learning. Many majors are consistent with our school majors, and is willing to carry out in-depth and diverse cooperation with our school.
Subsequently, the two sides held detailed discussions on the credit recognition system, the entry threshold of MBA program, language requirements, professional requirements and many other details. Both sides look forward to the implementation of the cooperation project as early as possible.
